{The Wilson Extended Family} Colorado Springs Family Portrait & Lifestyle Photographer

This group was so much fun to work with!!! Tu-tu & Grumps as they refer to Grandma & Granpa were just darn adorable & the aunts & uncles hilarious!!! I loved working with each and everyone of you Wilson Clan. We met at the beautiful Monument Valley Park where everything was so lush & green this time of year...down to the water (see funny out-takes reference).;) Enjoy a peek from their summer session...

This group of 40 was AWESOME!!! It helped to have my friend, Jennicca, with a list of names & groups calling them off too!;) Everyone was attentive & it made things run so smoothly. Of course this was an amazing session...check out their GORGEOUS backdrop. The beautiful mountains of Winter Park (technically Granby) Colorado!!! Wowzers! Oh...& count the babies. Lots of toddlers & babies. Ahhh...cuteness & some craziness on the side. LOL! Enjoy a peek at this extended family reunion in the mountains...

So when you look at the group shot, I want you to count with me...yes, that's 8 kids under the age of 7. Yep! Needless to say I didn't need to hit the gym that morning.;) One 3 month old, one 6 month old, two 2yr. olds, two 4yr. olds, a 5 yr. old & a 7yr. old. Phew!!! This session kept me on my toes & doing the "monkey dance" the whole way through. =) I may have done some head-swapping in a photo or two as well, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get the shot, right?!!! I loved watching all the sister's interact with one another, especially since I have three older sisters of my own. So I'm familiar with a family full of girls. What fun for this grandma & grandpa to be surrounded by all these precious little faces. Here is a peek at our morning together...

{Welcome Nathan} Colorado SpringsExtended Family/Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

This family has been through so much in the last year...from pregnancy, to the loss of a child, to the blessing of an adoption (finalized next month). I was honored when Donna (Alisa's mother) contacted me to take their pictures to welcome sweet 2, almost 3 month old, Nathan to their family. I took older brother, Henry's 1yr. pictures a few years back...now I was able to capture these two siblings together...such a precious thing. Henry is a wonderful big brother to Nathan, so sweet & doting. I loved watching him give kisses & caring for him when he cried.

I was so thankful to wake up to beautiful blue skies & sunshine on Saturday, as we had to postpone this session several times due to weather & other unforeseen reasons in previous weeks. Also, Dave, (aka: dad) had his parents in town visiting for the week, so we included both sets of grandparents as well as Uncle Andy.

It was so apparent in every image the love this family has for one another & I loved getting to capture it for them. Here is a peek at our morning at Bear Creek Regional Park together...

What a beautiful family you have Marsha & Bob!!! Yes, that's what people will say when they see all of these smiling faces. Would you look at all of those grandbabies!!! What a fun & crazy morning we had on one of the hottest Colorado days I can recall...it was nearly 90 degrees at only 9:00am. WOW!!! Everyone did great & we breezed right through this session. It was surely a bright & sunny morning so a little squinting was to be expected with the mountain backdrop as a request. =) You see only one of these families is from the Colorado Springs area...the others are from Texas, California & North Carolina. When family gathers for a group picture in this state...it's only expected to be in front of our beautiful mountains & with all of the little ones...well, evening wasn't an option for us. We all did great for a group of this size. Enjoy a peek at our morning together...

Winter Wonderland---brought in the New Year!!!

This was a session that was booked nearly 6 months prior to the actual day & even with all of the crazy snow that showed up...we ALL pulled it off!!! When I capitalize "ALL" I'm not exaggerating; as you can see from the big group photos...there were 19 people in this beautiful extended family. The location was their gorgeous property way out east in Petyon, Colorado. With lots of little ones, I was forced to move quickly & concise. It was a chilly, snow covered Colorado morning that certainly made for amazing photos. Thanks again Richard Family...you were all lovely.
